Dissertation Writing Services UK
Most students who look for dissertation help do not need someone to write a dissertation. They need one of five specific things: a research question that will survive contact with a supervisor, a literature review that arrives somewhere, statistical output they can actually interpret, a draft that reads at the right register, or a defensible answer to a viva question. Buying a whole package when you needed a £99 statistical interpretation is a waste of money, and this page is organised so you can tell which one you are.

What dissertation support means, in practice
There is a meaningful difference between the work a university permits and the work that gets students into disciplinary hearings, and the line is clearer than the marketing in this industry suggests. Support means you produce the research and someone experienced improves how it is expressed, tested or presented. It does not mean someone produces the research for you.
Every UK university runs a proofreading policy, and most explicitly permit third-party editing provided it does not alter your argument. Many run statistics clinics that do precisely what a paid analysis service does, just with longer queues. What none of them permit is submitting authored work as your own. We built the service around the first category because it is the part that is both legitimate and genuinely useful.
What we do
- Structural review. We read the full draft and report on chapter logic: whether the gap statement carries through, whether objectives are traceable to findings, where the argument breaks.
- Methodology guidance. Whether your design answers your question, whether your sampling is defensible, and what an examiner will press on.
- Data analysis. Test selection, execution and annotated output in SPSS, R, Stata, Python or Excel, so you can explain every number.
- Statistical interpretation. Turning output you already have into prose you can defend.
- Editing and proofreading. Language, consistency and academic register at £12 per 1,000 words.
- Referencing correction. A full citation audit in your required style, £39.
- Viva preparation. A mock viva, a predicted question list, and coaching on defending your limitations, £149.
What we do not do
We do not write dissertations for submission, guarantee grades, or promise a specific classification. Any provider that guarantees a 2:1 is either not reading your work or not being straight with you: the mark depends on research you control and a marker they have never met.
Published rates
These are the actual prices, not starting points that move once you enquire. Publishing them means you can decide whether this is worth it before speaking to anyone.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Undergraduate, 8,000 to 10,000 words Typical BA and BSc final-year project scope. | £499 to £799 |
| Undergraduate, 10,000 to 15,000 words Extended projects and integrated master’s first stages. | £799 to £999 |
| Master's, 12,000 to 18,000 words MSc, MA and MBA dissertations, including empirical projects. | £899 to £1,499 |
| PhD Research Support Scoped per chapter or per stage across a doctoral programme. | £1,599 and up |
Package prices depend on word count and how much of the work is already drafted. A finished draft needing structural review and editing sits at the lower end of each band.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Research Proposal Aims, objectives, research questions, and a defensible methodology outline. | £99 |
| Literature Review Thematic synthesis with a clearly argued gap statement. | £149 |
| Data Analysis (SPSS, R, Stata, Excel) Test selection, execution, and annotated output you can defend. | £149 |
| Statistical Interpretation Plain-English write-up of results you have already produced. | £99 |
| Editing and Proofreading Language, consistency, and academic register. Your argument stays yours. | £12 per 1,000 words |
| Referencing (APA, Harvard, MLA, Chicago) Full citation audit and reference list correction in your required style. | £39 |
| Turnitin Similarity Review A similarity report plus a note on which matches need re-citing. | £25 |
| PowerPoint Presentation Designed slides built from your dissertation or report. | £79 |
| Viva Preparation Mock viva, likely question list, and defence coaching. | £149 |
Most enquiries are better served by one or two of these than by a package. If you tell us what stage you are at, we will say which.
Support by level
The difference between levels is not effort, it is what the examiner is testing. Knowing which standard applies to you changes what is worth spending time on.
Undergraduate, 8,000 to 15,000 words
Assessed mainly on whether you can run a coherent research process end to end. Examiners expect a clear question, an organised literature review, a justified method and findings that connect back. Original contribution is not required. The most common failure is a literature review that summarises without arguing, which leaves the methodology unjustified. Support from £499.
Master’s, 12,000 to 18,000 words
Assessed on critical depth. The literature review must build a genuine gap, and the discussion must argue with the literature rather than agree with it. Empirical work is usually expected, and methodology chapters are marked harder than at undergraduate level. Support from £899.
MPhil and PhD
Assessed on original contribution and on your ability to defend it live. At this level the most valuable outside input is adversarial: someone reading your chapters looking for the weakness an examiner will find. Research support from £1,599, usually scoped per chapter rather than as a single package.
How to choose what you actually need
Work down this list and stop at the first one that describes you. It will usually be cheaper than a package.
- 1You have no approved topic yet. Start with a research proposal, £99. Getting the question right saves more time than anything else on this page.
- 2Your reading is done but the chapter will not cohere. Literature review support, £149. The usual problem is organisation by source rather than by theme.
- 3You have data and cannot analyse it. Data analysis from £99 for Excel to £189 for Python, including annotated output.
- 4You have output but cannot write it up. Statistical interpretation, £99. Cheaper than re-running analysis you already have.
- 5The draft is complete but reads badly. Editing and proofreading at £12 per 1,000 words, so £120 for a 10,000 word dissertation.
- 6The draft is complete and you suspect the structure is wrong. Structural review. This is the one worth paying for when you cannot tell why it is not working.
- 7Submission is done and the viva is next. Viva preparation, £149.
How the process works
- 1Send us your brief, your handbook or marking criteria if you have it, and whatever is drafted. The handbook matters: it overrides every general convention.
- 2We tell you what we think you need, which is sometimes less than you asked for, and confirm the price before any work starts.
- 3You approve the scope. Work begins, with a named person on your project rather than a rotating pool.
- 4You get the work back with comments explaining the reasoning, so you can defend the changes rather than just accept them.
- 5One round of follow-up questions is included. If we have not made something clear, that is our problem to fix.
Red flags when comparing providers
This market has a lot of poor operators, and the warning signs are consistent. Use these against us as well as anyone else.
- A guaranteed grade. Nobody can guarantee a mark awarded by a marker they have never met on research they did not conduct.
- No published prices. Quote-only pricing usually means the price is set by how urgent you sound.
- Pressure and countdown timers. A dissertation is not an impulse purchase, and urgency tactics exist to stop you comparing.
- Vagueness about what you receive. If a provider will not say plainly whether they are writing your dissertation, that ambiguity is deliberate and the risk lands on you.
- No named writers or credentials. You should know the qualification level of the person doing the work.
- Claims of undetectable work. Marketing that centres on evading detection is selling you the risk, not managing it.
What you can actually check
Most providers in this market lead with award badges and satisfaction percentages nobody can verify. These are commitments you can hold us to instead.

Frequently asked questions
What does dissertation support actually include?
Structural review of your draft, feedback on your research question and gap statement, methodology guidance, data analysis in SPSS, R, Stata, Python or Excel, statistical interpretation, referencing correction, proofreading, and viva preparation. Your research question, argument and conclusions remain yours throughout.
How much does dissertation help cost in the UK?
Our undergraduate support starts at £499 for an 8,000 to 10,000 word project, master’s support from £899, and PhD research support from £1,599. Individual elements are cheaper: a research proposal is £99, a literature review £149, and editing is £12 per 1,000 words. Prices are published rather than quoted per enquiry.
Is using a dissertation service against university rules?
It depends entirely on what you buy. Proofreading, editing, statistical analysis and structural feedback are permitted at most UK universities and many offer similar support internally. Submitting work written by someone else as your own is academic misconduct everywhere. We provide the former. Check your institution’s academic integrity policy, and we will scope the work to fit it.
How long does dissertation support take?
A proofread of a 10,000 word draft takes two to three working days. A structural review takes three to five. Data analysis depends on the dataset and typically takes three to seven days. Full support across a dissertation runs alongside your own timeline over several weeks, which is why starting early matters more than paying more.
Can you help if my dissertation is already written?
Yes, and this is the most common request. A finished draft can be structurally reviewed, edited, proofread, and have its referencing corrected. If your analysis is done but the write-up is not working, statistical interpretation at £99 is usually the right starting point rather than a full package.
Do you cover my subject?
We cover business and management, law, psychology, nursing and health, education, computer science, engineering, economics and finance, marketing, and the social sciences. If your topic is highly specialised, tell us before ordering and we will say honestly whether we have the right person rather than taking the work regardless.
What if my supervisor asks how I got help?
Tell them. Proofreading and analysis support are ordinary parts of postgraduate work, and most universities expect you to acknowledge editorial assistance. Because you retain the research and the argument, there is nothing to conceal in a viva, which is precisely why the support is scoped this way.
Which referencing styles do you work in?
APA 7, Harvard including university house variants, MLA, Chicago, OSCOLA for law, and Vancouver for medicine and health. Referencing correction across a full dissertation is £39.

How we work, and what stays yours
WritingBays provides research support: structural feedback, editing and proofreading, data analysis and statistical interpretation, referencing correction, reference-only model exemplars, and viva preparation. We do not sell work for submission as your own. Your research question, your argument and your conclusions remain yours, which is what makes the support defensible in a viva and compliant with your institution’s academic conduct policy. If you are unsure what your university permits, check its academic integrity guidance before ordering and we will scope the work to fit.
